Some Exciting Technology-Based Startups

David Dewar is the managing partner at Arizona’s Blue Pear Ventures, a venture capital firm that focuses on technology-based startups. Furthermore, he was the principal of Trillium Residential in Phoenix, and founded David C Dewar Consulting Ltd. David Dewar has more than 20 years of professional experience.

Recent years have seen the emergence of a variety of technology-based startups. Here are a few notable examples:

Duolingo: Duolingo is a site dedicated to helping individuals learn foreign languages in an interactive manner. The site’s users also participate in the development of new language courses and the translation of content into different languages.

Patreon: Similar to Kickstarter, Patreon allows artists to share their work digitally and receive regular income for their effort.

Branch: This social media site facilitates thoughtful online discussions. It is a departure from the shouting matches that have come to define online interactions.

Leap Motion: This is a device for Macs and PCs that can be used to track even the smallest hand movements. It makes it possible for the user’s hand to serve as a virtual mouse. The device can be used for applications such as creating three-dimensional models and drawing detailed designs.

Trillium Lifestyle Events and Initiatives in 2014

Between 2002 and 2011, David Dewar served as the principal of Trillium Residential, a multi-family residential real estate development company headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. The Trillium communities are located in North Phoenix, Cave Creek, Deer Valley, and Papago. A fifth community named Trillium 44 is set to open in the spring of 2015 at 44th Street and Washington.

Under the direction of David Dewar, a specific lifestyle concept was developed at the Trillium communities. They offer residents a wide range of services, high-quality amenities, and regular events and activities. Trillium strives to nurture a sense of involvement and belonging within the residential communities. The company frequently organizes resident participation in fundraising ventures, wine tasting evenings, movie matinees, health and wellness initiatives, and games nights, among other events.

For instance, in 2014, residents attended a Trillium Super Bowl halftime party in the complex greatroom. As part of the event, the company coordinated giveaways, gift cards, and prizes. Trillium also celebrated Saturday Night Live in Phoenix in January by broadcasting live events in the greatrooms.
